Chembra Park
This is the highest peak in the district, at 2,100m above the sea level. It is ideal for trekkers. Climbing it is a challenging mountaineering endeavour and would take a full day. The surrounding areas have great possibilities for photography. Camping on the peak is possible, too.
The District Tourism Promotion Council provides guides, sleeping bags, canvases, huts and trekking equipment on hire. The peak is easily accessible from Kalpetta – it’s only 14km away. Sultan Bathery is 40km away.
